Chitwan National Park(Jungle Safari) is home to over 50 species of mammals, 55 species of reptiles and more than 450 species of birds. Rare animal like one-horned rhinoceros, gaur, wild bison, sloth bear, four species of Deer, rhesus monkey, black-faced langur, spotted leopard, royal Bengal tiger, fish-eating gharial, flesh-eating marsh crocodile, and Gangetic dolphin etc. are preserved on Chitwan National Park. Chitwan weather is usually hot and humid except during winter months. So you should bring clothing considering the same. However, December, January, and February will be quite cold in Chitwan National Park, if you are visiting there during these months you need to bring warm clothing.
You’ll have an excellent chance of spotting one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys and some of the more than 543 species of birds. If you’re extremely lucky, you may spot a leopard, wild elephant or sloth bear – though it’s the once-in-a-lifetime chance to spot a majestic royal Bengal tiger that is the premier attraction. You’ll also have the chance to experience domesticated elephants, although how that interaction takes place is now undergoing a paradigm shift driven by animal rights concerns.
Bring a flashlight for the emergency purpose( we have power cut problems in Nepal ). Insect repellents, cap, and suntan lotion are also recommended. Light clothing, hats, and sunglasses are also recommended for spring and summer months.Pants and long-sleeved T-shirts would be ideal for Chitwan national park elephant safari or while outdoor to avoid mosquito bites. Bright colors such as red and white should be avoided since those colors frighten the animals.
