What to Bring / Take

South Asia is gifted by nature with variety of vegetation. Different types of whether, temperature can be found in small distance. Backpack bag as lightly as possible is expected during the trip to South Asia and Tibet. Visas

All foreign nationals, except Indians require a visa to enter Nepal. The responsibility of arranging visas is all yours before you travel. Visas can be obtained from embassies abroad and also can be obtained on arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan airport. But if you chose to obtain a visa in Nepal then you have to be prepared for long queues, you have to have one passport size photo and the fees has to paid in US Dollars by cash only. The fee is given below:

Single entry visa valid for 15 Days: US$25

Single entry visa valid for 30 Days: US$40

Single entry visa valid for 90 Days: US$100

Multiple Entry Visa: US$20 (Additional)

Multiple entry visas are useful to those travelers who are planning to visit Tibet, India and / or Bhutan by paying additional US$20 for changing single entry visa to multiple entry visas at Kathmandu Immigration Office.

Some Important Information to Tourist: Don’t or Do’s

  • A tourist may stay in Nepal up to 150 days in a visa year (January 1-December 31).
  • A tourist may extend his / her visa before expiry of the visa validity period.
  • A tourist who does not comply with these regulations may be liable of fine and other prosecution as provided in Immigration Act and Rules.
  • A foreigner having obtained tourist visa shall not be allowed to work with or without receiving, remuneration.
  • A foreigner shall not be allowed to carry out any work other than that for which purpose she / he has obtained the visa.

Full itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Our representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and then transfer you to your hotel. You will be briefed about each day program. Permits & TIMS will be handover to you either the same day of arrival or the next day.

Day 2: Drive, Kathmandu – Pokhara

On this day, we move to Pokhara that takes 6-7 hours drive. The trekkers can do small shopping for the trek and walk around the lakeside and overnight stay in Pokhara.

Alternate, you can fly to Pokhara and the flight time is about approx 25 Minutes (with additional cost)

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1070m). Trek to Tikhedunga (1520m)

It takes around 2 hours drive to Nayapul from Pokhara. After reaching Nayapul, Our trek begins. To reach Tikhedunga, we have to go through the bridge over a small stream to get to Birethanti (1025m) and follow the east bank of Bhurungdi Khola. Then, we reach Sudame (1340m) beyond a pasture used by caravans. We climb steadily up the side of the valley to reach Hille (1460m) and about 15 minutes above Hille is the Tikhedhunga.

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m)

This is a trek of 6-7 hours which starts crossing the Tikhedhunga Khola on a suspension bridge, then drops and crosses the Bhurungdi Khola on a large bridge at 1520m. The trail climbs very steeply on a stone staircase that is said to have more than 3300 steps which descend to the large Magar village of Ulleri (2020m). The trail passes through two sparkling clear streams, a small ridge, and another stream before making final climb to another Magar village of Nanga Thanti (2430m). About an hour past this village we reach Ghorepani through Oak and Rhododendron forest.

Day 5: Trek to Poon Hill (3106m), back to Ghorepani. Trek to Tadapani (2630m)

Poon Hill is one of the best viewpoints for the gorgeous Himalayan from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna to Machhapuchre i.e Dhaulagiri I-VI, Gurja Himal, Tukuche Peak, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Bhadra Sikhar (Annapurna Fang), Nilgiri and so on. We take an early morning walk from Ghorepani to Poon Hill with the view of beautiful mountains. Then, we meet a series of ups and downs through the forest of bamboo, rhododendron, and birch to reach Deurali. After Deurali, we reach Banthanti, crossing the bridge over the stream and finally to Tadapani which provides us with an excellent view of Mountains.

Day 6: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)

Ghandruk is the finest and famous trekking area of Nepal from where we are able to get the view of Annapurna ranges. To reach Ghandruk we descend through huge boulders into the maze, through forests to Bhaisi Kharka. Ghandruk is a big Gurung Settlement, kind of modern town of this trek where we can see the local museum and Buddhist Monasteries. There is an Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) office.

Day 7: Trek to Nayapul. Drive to Pokhara

Today, we trek down to Nayapul where we started our trekking on the very first day and then we drive to Pokhara and stay for remaining days exploring Pokhara.

Day 8: Drive, Pokhara – Kathmandu

We drive back to Kathmandu. The evening is free time.

Day 9: Departure

Today is the last day of our memorable trip. You are free until your airport reporting time and we take you to the airport for outbound flight back to your destination.
